Purpose and Benefits of Groups

Groups enable the control of multiple devices simultaneously with just one action. They combine devices with identical action capabilities into a single unit, such as multiple lamps or blinds. This increases efficiency and user-friendliness in everyday smart-home use.

Characteristics and Conditions

• Actions: Groups inherit the same actions as the devices they contain – e.g., turning on/off, dimming, raising/lowering.
• Scheduling: You can set schedules based on time or solar position not only for individual devices but also for entire groups.
• Restriction: Groups may only contain devices that support the same number of actions. This ensures that every function available in the device is also accessible at the group level.

How to Create a Group (Quick Overview)

1. Log in to the everHome app with your customer account.
2. Navigate to the “Groups” menu and press “+”. Assign a name to the group.
3. Select the devices you want to control together.
4. If needed, set automated schedules based on time or solar position, for example.
