The Wi-Fi in my network has changed – how do I configure this in EcoTracker or CloudBox 4.0?
Published:
This article describes how to change the Wi-Fi configuration in your EcoTracker or CloudBox 4.0:
Sometimes it is necessary to connect your everHome device to a new Wi-Fi network. This is particularly the case if, for example, the router in your network has been replaced by a new device or the Wi-Fi SSID (Wi-Fi name) has been changed.
It is never necessary to delete the EcoTracker or CloudBox 4.0 from the everHome app. This will result in irrevocable data loss.
If you simply want to add the everHome device to another of your Wi-Fi networks, temporarily switch off the previous Wi-Fi signal in your router.
If you want to connect the EcoTracker or CloudBox 4.0 to a new Wi-Fi network, please proceed as follows:
- Disconnect the EcoTracker / CloudBox 4.0 from the power supply and then reconnect it.
- Wait for about 30 seconds.
- Navigate to Devices in the everHome app and press +
- Select everHome and then the EcoTracker or CloudBox 4.0
- Follow the instructions and complete the process
Important:
- Do not delete your everHome device from the everHome app beforehand, as this will only lead to data loss
- Make sure you enter the Wi-Fi key correctly
