Feed-in is reported positively by the meter
This article addresses the issue that your electricity meter reports the current feed-in with a positive sign.
If your meter reports the live power feed-in with a positive sign, it can affect the control of your storage system. Unfortunately, a server-side sign inversion for the EcoTracker is not possible because we process the measurement data exactly as it is delivered by the meter.
Important:
The EcoTracker itself does not perform any active sign correction but only provides the measurement values. For correct regulation, the meter must deliver the values with the appropriate sign so that the storage system can respond correctly.
What you can do
Please contact your metering point operator and have them check whether the meter is correctly configured or needs to be replaced. In many cases, replacing the meter is the right solution if the sign logic does not match the desired evaluation.
Note on calibration period
Your meter may already be older than eight years. The calibration period for digital measuring devices in germany is eight years. If this period has expired, this can also be a reason for replacement.
In summary:
- Server-side inversion of feed-in power is not possible.
- The tracker takes the values exactly as they come from the meter.
- Please contact the metering point operator and request a meter check or replacement.
- An expired calibration period can also be a reason to replace the meter.
